Your support is needed now more than ever, as new group of patients need our expert support. The team at QEF’s Care and Rehabilitation Centre are working closely with the NHS to provide rehabilitation for patients who have suffered a neurological event such as a seizure or a stroke during hospital treatment for COVID-19 and those living with long Covid. One of the first post-COVID-19 clients we treated at QEF is James. You can read his story by clicking the link: https://qef.org.uk/about-us/qef-blog/journey-recovery-after-covid-stroke-and-long-covid Prior to catching the virus, James was independent, fit and well, working and able to drive.
I also wanted to share with you Seán’s story, a young man from Dublin who has recently received Neuro Rehabilitation in our new Care and Rehabilitation Centre (CRC). In the below link you will see Seán complete his dream of walking out of the CRC, as he leaves for the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin which is very close to his home: https://qef.org.uk/about-us/qef-blog/seans-story-recovery-after-traumatic-brain-injury What amazing progress Seán has made, and QEF are delighted to get him one step closer to home.
