All funds raised at the gala dinner will be directed towards The Edward Guinness Appeal, raising the £2.7 million needed to complete the new Care and Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) which opened in July 2020 at the height of the pandemic to alleviate some of the pressure on the NHS. The CRC offers a specialist multidisciplinary service, all under one roof, enabling individuals to rebuild their lives after an acquired brain injury, stroke, neurological illness or incomplete spinal injury. This centre of neuro rehabilitation expertise incorporates 48 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and assistive voice activated technology, allowing clients greater independence and greater control over their personal space.
